The Challenges Of A Self-Build Annexe
The challenges of self-building an annexe are complex and not something to be tackled as a DIY project.
Custom annexes like the one featured here are our speciality.
The design is a custom Rydal annexe featuring a one-bedroom annexe on a large scale.
The overall size is 17.1 metres long by 6.7 metres wide and every aspect has been designed by the customers FOR the customers own private retreat in an idyllic lakeside setting in Staffordshire.
The Spectacular Heart Of The Home
One of the keys to a great annexe design is to use the maximum space available for the key features that you love.
- A spectacular one bedroom spacious annexe is always going to have more impact.
- By carefully considering the spaces you use the most, the design will naturally come together.
- This stunning annexe has a magnificent navy super-matt kitchen at the heart of the home.
“With a water’s edge view of the lake, the setting is ideal for annexe living at it’s very best.”
The Triple Bi-Fold Door Front Elevation
We will update this post with photos of the finished annexe exterior when we can but with an idyllic water’s edge aspect to this annexe, what better way to enjoy the view than with a triple bi-fold door frontage.
All our bi-fold doors are aluminium and the decking shown here is from our composite deck range in a dark grey.
With a build time of just over 16 weeks from start to finish, this custom annexe went from concept to reality in a relatively short space of time.
A Custom Annexe With A Unique Modern Charm
The customer’s eye for design really shone throughout this custom annexe build and without a doubt, it will be one of the most spectacular annexes in our portfolio for many years to come.
From its ultra-modern kitchen & utility to the extensive open plan living space, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom it’s a stunning example of what can be done with a custom annexe and a great eye for design.
