It’s a green light for manufacturing & construction during the latest Covid-19 National lock down. Here’s the latest on how we’ve adjusted to meet the requirements & prioritise the health & safety of our teams and our customers.
Just when it looked like we were all set for working & living with the Coronavirus pandemic through local lock-downs, it was announced over the weekend by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson that new measures are to be introduced at a National level from Thursday November 5th 2020. to try to keep the spread of the virus under control.
As so much has happened this year since our last update in May, we felt now was a good time to let our new and existing customers know about some of the key decisions we’ve made as a company to enable us to focus on our #1 priority of putting our customers first.
As its stands, the new measures do not affect manufacturing or construction and provided our installation teams can travel & stay away safely we can carry out our custom build annexes as normal.
We’ve listed some of the most important updates below
For Existing Customers
Custom Build On Site Annexes
Custom build on site annexes will continue as planned.
We have a very strong order book and have increased our installation teams, vehicles & in-house manufacturing facilities to be able to increase the number of custom build installations going forwards.
Local Planning Authorities will still be processing Planning Applications as normal during this time although we anticipate a lot of the Planning officers will return to working from home during the November to December lock-down period.
We are constantly reviewing this on a weekly basis and will keep our customers informed of any changes to timescales given which we believe will be minimal.
With construction also being encouraged to keep going we anticipate the supply chain of raw materials to be maintained.
As most of annexe building is remote from the main house and not in close proximity to the customers on a day to day basis disruption and close contact will be minimal.
Lodges – Manufactured Off-Site
Our lodge suppliers are experiencing extremely high demand for their Guest Lodges since reopening earlier this year.
They are at full capacity at this time which means that delivery times are longer than we would normally expect.
This is due mainly to the high demand for Guest Lodges driven by the increased UK “staycation” market which has seen a huge increase in people looking to secure self-catering holiday lodge accommodation in the UK.
The show site will be CLOSED from Thursday for the lock-down month.
Please be aware when you are considering visiting the show site, you will be restricted to 2 people per visit. You will also be required to wear a face mask and gloves, and answer a brief questionnaire on each visit. All will be provided for you.
Our lodge manufacturers employ a large number of employees and are fully compliant with the latest Covid-19 guidelines when it comes to the health & safety of their staff & visitors.
