Merry Christmas 2015!

It’s Christmas time 2015 and apart from the unseasonably mild weather we’ve been having, there are still millions of people looking forward to enjoying exchanging gifts, seeing children’s faces light up with excitement and enjoy all the festive food and activities of this wonderful time of the year.

So with the absence of winter temperatures snow and ice to contend with (some of us are jumping for joy) we thought we’d bring some festive cheer and Christmas decor ideas in this week’s feature article where we extend our warmest wishes to customers old and new.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to one and all.

Setting The Mood For Christmas From Your Front Door

Just like when it’s Halloween and porches get decorated with carved pumpkins, cobwebs and lanterns, when it comes to Christmas many of us choose to decorate our front porches and doors with wreaths and Christmas lights.

If we ever return to cold wintry weather and a white Christmas, then we could all create something like the wonderful Christmas filled porch like the picture above.

Since discovering all these wonderful ideas I am already planning a bigger, better Christmas display next year!

Setting The Scene For Christmas Lunch

One thing we all enjoy at Christmas is the gorgeous Christmas feast that we insist on eating until we are literally stuffed. But Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas with over indulgences of some kind.

If you watched the Eat Well Less Christmas show with Greg Wallace this week you’ll have found that a taste test found Aldi’s £4.79 Cava beat Moet & Chandon champagne on the taste test this year.

So if you want to add a little sparkle and light to your Christmas lunch this year take some inspiration from the picture above and use candles, sprigs of holly or pine in jars to make sure everyone feels festive.

(Of course if you are indulging in the Aldi cava or champagne be careful with any naked flames!)

Red & Green Are Always The Most Traditional & Festive Choice

Do you remember the film Home Alone? If you noticed during that entire film and the enormous house the family lived in everything was red and green to reflect that it was Christmas.

There are some lovely scatter cushions, wooden letters, candles, angels and lovely home accessories in the shops right now to add some Christmas touches to your home like in the photo above.

One of favourites this year have been some scatter cushions that say Merry Christmas!

Christmas Is The Perfect Time To Warm Up Your Entrance Hall

Garlands of ribbons and lights look wonderful draped up the staircase (if you are lucky enough to have somewhere to plug everything in nearby) and there is something very special about making your entrance hall filled with Christmas lights for your guests to feel instantly at home the moment they walk in.

Wooden glossy floors and lots of glass are perfect for reflecting all the lights too!

And Finally Contemporary Log Reindeer!

Our Grandson LOVES this cute little Reindeer made from logs. If you are a bit handy with a saw and some small logs you can make your Grandchildren’s eyes light up by making them one of these.

Finish your Reindeer off with a bauble or bell around his neck or turn him into Rudolph by adding a red nose!

  1. Say Merry Christmas to all your family & friends by decorating your front door or porch.
  2. Light candles in jars and add some Christmas decorations and lights to your Christmas dinner table for best effect.
  3. For the Christmas home add scatter cushions and accessories around the home to make your home at Christmas welcoming to family & friends
  4. Delight your Grandchildren or children with a wonderful Contemporary Log Reindeer!
